The Dark Entry.

Last night I met her, the one who is keeping me deep in my sleep. She always comes to me, dressed in a white wedding dress, her face covered by a see through veil. Even so, her face remains in the dark. It all starts with her calling my name, at first it was only a whisper, but it soon became louder. There was no escaping her voice, and to think that I’m the master of my dreams. My security has been breached by a silent voice. It is keeping me in a dark space, all I have is a torch, which flickers on and off. This dark space, I call it; The Dark Entry, is like a passage to another realm, with her as a guardian. I was running away from her the first time she became somewhat visible. Many people run in their dreams for something they fear. It’s because we don’t realize that we are the stronger one and let the fear in the Dark Entry rule us.

Waking up in cold sweat in the middle of the night, the clock strikes 3 am and you could have sworn there was someone else, other than you and your partner in the room. Standing there on the other side of the door, you left half open, you could feel it looking at you. You thought you’d be save during the day time, but when a photo was taken of you, or you were on a video, a shimmer was always near you. Was it because of a malfunction with the camera’s or?
A lot of people don’t believe, but that is because they have grown to ignore the signs, so they no longer see. But what is closed can always be re-opened, and that is why you have nightmares. You have nightmares because you see things during the day time that reminds your subconscious of what lies buried deep within your Dark Entry.
Too many times I ran away from a voice that was scaring me. A voice was taking control. I finally stopped and turned around and started to scream back; “I’M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!” That was when she come forth from the darkness. Dressed in her white wedding dress and a see through veil covering her face. She smirked, as she wasn’t taking me seriously, she smirked. This game went on for a couple of nights, until last night. Last night she took of her veil, I felt my heart pounding in my throat. Not knowing what I would expect, I clenched my fists. The first thing I would do if she would be scare, I’d throw her a punch. I have no mercy on those in the Dark Entry who try to rule me. I am the master and the power lies within me and only me. She unveiled herself, I was….surprised. She did not have that scary horror ghostly face, yet she was beautiful. A peaches skin, soft, with a red rouge on her cheeks and blue green eyes. They changed the game. Horrifying faces no longer scare me, but with beauty they can get to me and attack me while I lower my guard. Her cold hands grabbed me by the neck, trying to squeeze the life out of me. She was still smirking, you could see she was enjoying this.

The Dark Entry is a place where you will find the true strength you posses, you will need it to step into the other realm. It’s more dangerous than the Dark Entry. Everything is a test, but a test that can take your life. I realized just before my last breath of air was chocked out of me. I started to smirk back. Her grip loosened and her smirk disappeared. Now she was showing fear. I pushed her away with a feral scream. It was almost like a homage to my favorite X-Men; Wolverine. My true power is that of a beast unleashed, yet controlled. Quickly, the woman faded into smoke and I was alone in my Dark Entry again. I started to walk around with my torch in my left hand. I followed my instinct and came across a boat with one paddle. I saw the river the boat was lying in split in two paths. Another test? Perhaps, but my instinct told me to take the left river path. Turned out to be the right one. It led me to what I call; Stairway of a thousand stars. There is a long way to go before you reach the end of your journey, and what that end may be……who knows.
