THE TOWN - New Movie Directed by Ben Affleck

The first trailer for Ben Affleck's film The Town debuted this past weekend, playing before Christopher Nolan's Inception.

This crime thriller, based on Chuck Hogan's award-winning novel Prince of Thieves, is directed and co-written by Affleck who also stars as Doug MacRay, the head of a ruthless crew of bank robbers.

Co-stars featured in the trailer include Oscar-winner Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) as MacKay's fellow thief and friend, Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona) as a heist hostage and the woman who changes MacKay's life, Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) as his ex-girlfriend, and Jon Hamm (Mad Men) portraying the FBI agent. There are also glimpses of Chris Cooper (Syriana) and Pete Postlethwaite (Clash of the Titans).

As the dramatic action unfolds through the fast-paced footage, the robbers are depicted in various disguises from masked nuns to cops, an unlikely romance is shown between the victim and thief, the FBI hunts the gang across Boston's streets and seeks a spurned woman as the informant who could take them down.

Hits theaters September 10 in the US.
